When I was fifteen years old, my family and I fled Afghanistan when the Taliban took control. When I was seventeen years old, I wrote my first book, Traveling With the Wind. Even though I loved school, I never loved reading, because I didn’t see myself in any books. So I wrote the story I wanted to read. I hope Traveling With the Wind reminds you that you have the power to change the world and make it a better place for everyone.
